Christian Lacroix the Costumier

Haute Couture French fashion designer, Christian Lacroix is coming to Singapore. Technically not 'coming' coming, he's not going to be physically present, but his works will be! With 80 over costumes and 60 odd sketches by the designer himself, National Museum of Singapore is proud to present to you: Christian Lacroix Costumier, 28 March to 7 June 2009. This time, watch how Lacroix goes back to his first love and where he garnered inspirations from: Ballet, Opera and the Theatre. (ALL HAIL BALLET TU-TUS!)
Admission goes at $8 for adults, $4 for children. Only 15 pax admitted per session.
Photos below are taken from Lacroix's 2008 Spring RTW, 2009 Fall RTW. I'm particularly in love with his Spring 2008 collection, all the big headgears, bright colors, soft freely fabrics! No clear distinction of any inspiration from tu-tus but still amazing nonetheless. Don't you think the last 3 pictures (Fall 2009 RTW), OH NOT LACROIX'S FACE, look very Topshop-campaign-ish!
